Anthony Stephenson Blackman – Aged 76 years, late of Lot 31 Six Roads Development, St. Philip and formerly of #4 Unity Lane, Gall Hill Terrace, Christ Church. Retired Civil Servant and Deputy Chief Fire Officer of the Barbados Fire Service, entered into rest on February 17, 2022.

Son of the late Ruth Blackman and Fitzgerald Hinds;
Husband of Beverley Holder-Blackman (School Meals Department);
Father of Anthony Blackman Jr (Vancouver Police Department) and Kristle Blackman (CIBC First Caribbean International Bank);
Father-in-Law of Allison Meade-Blackman;
Brother of Joyce Holder and the late Mitchinson Blackman and Silvia Lashley;
Brother-in-Law of Carol Quarless, Merlene Lythcott, Catherine Dottin, Pamela Holder and the late Victor and Winston Holder;
Grandfather of Anthony (III) and Alexandra Blackman;
Uncle of Dawn, Michael, Robert, Desiree, Audrey and many others;
Cousin of Jacqueline Holder and many others;
Friend of the Barbados Fire Service, Annette Worrell, Anita Payne, Mardelle Forde, Carol Thorpe, Fay Holder, Owen Lee, Peter Brathwaite, Keith Hoyte, Sally-Anne Fenty, the Forde family of Six Roads, St. Philip, Coreen Grant and many others;

A Service of Thanksgiving celebrating the life of Anthony Stephenson Blackman will take place at The Chapel at Coral Ridge Memorial Gardens, The Ridge, Coral Ridge on Saturday March 12, 2022 at 10:00 AM, followed by the interment in Frangipani Lawns at Coral Ridge Memorial Gardens. Viewing takes place at St. George’s Home for Funerals, Carmichael House, Carmichael, St. George, on Friday March 11, 2022 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM and an hour before the commencement of the Service at the Church. The Organist is kindly asked to attend.
Flowers may be delivered to St. George’s Home for Funerals no later than 7:30 AM on the day of the funeral.
