Margaret Eulene Brathwaite

Sister Margaret Eulene Brathwaite – aged 85, affectionately called “Eulene” of Merricks Road, Merricks, St. Philip, faithful member of Elim Pentecostal Temple. A wonderful mother in the Lord whose life impacted all those within her sphere, has gone home to be at rest.


Wife of the late Joseph Brathwaite;

Mother of Anthony Brathwaite (USA), Winston Brathwaite (retired employee of the Barbados Port Authority), Lionel Brathwaite (Germany), Beverley Brathwaite (Government Printing Department) and Bishop Selwyn Brathwaite (Presiding Bishop, Pentecostal Assembly of the West Indies);

Grandmother of Tanya Harbin, Paul and Jason Brathwaite (all of the United Kingdom), Chanese Brathwaite (USA), Marvine, Laura and Lorraine Brathwaite (all of Germany), André, Sharisah and Shamara Brathwaite and Jasmine Reid;

Great-grandmother of Mia and Savannah Harbin (both of the United Kingdom) and two others;

Sister of Merlene and Israel Murrell and the late Beryl Als;                                     

Aunt of Rev. Lester Murrell, Haskell and Ralph Als, Sheldene Bishop, Shirley Burke, Neil and Juanita Murrell and     many others;

Mother-in-law of Bronwen, Kaycee and Ianthe Brathwaite;

Sister-in-law of Eudine Murrell (Canada) and the late Theophilus Brathwaite;

Relative of the Murrell, Brathwaite, Als and Hunte families;

Friend of Monica Fields, Roseanne Larrier, Pastor Ricardo Yarde, Reverend John Forde, Marcia Clarke, Antonio Mayers, the Elim Pentecostal Temple family and others too numerous to mention.                            


A Service of Worship and Praise celebrating the Life and Witness of Sister Margaret Eulene Brathwaite will take place on Tuesday November 16, 2021 at the People’s Cathedral, Bishops Court Hill, St. Michael where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 10.00 am.  The cortege will then proceed to the Bushy Park Cemetery for the interment.

Her body will repose for viewing on Monday at Jo-Anne Jones Funeral Services from 3.30 pm until 5.30 pm and at the Church on Tuesday from 9.00 am until the start of the service during which time floral tributes will be gratefully accepted.  

No mourning colours by special request.


The service and interment will be streamed live on Tuesday from 9.45 am on https://eternally-cherished.online/MargaretBrathwaite
