Maxim Ricardo Gittens – aged 68 years, affectionately called “Maxie” or “Max”, late of Robert’s Road, Haggatt Hall, St. Michael and retired Postman, entered into rest on November 7, 2021.

Son of the late Jean Gittens and Darnley Deane;

Father of Dave Williams;

Brother of eight and the late Adrian Gittens;

Grandfather of Shem Williams, Daviann Williams and Jaanai Browne;

Father Figure of Susanne Browne and many more;

Nephew of Morris, Joy, Velma, Pearson and the late Mary Anne and Dennis;

Cousin of Curtis, Wendy, Ryan, Gale, Tanya, Gillian, Kofi, Angel, David, Kristianne, Sharon, Wayne, Paul, Dale, Reagan, Roslin, Veronica, Marlon, McLita and Shalita;

Friend of Indian, Lorraine, Mrs. Husbands, Jackie, Leeks, Barnett, Anthony and the General Post Office family and many more;

Relative of the Gittens, Cadogan and Whittaker families.


A Service of Thanksgiving celebrating the life of Maxim Ricardo Gittens will take place at St. Barnabas Anglican Church, Chapel Gap, St. Barnabas, St. Michael on Thursday December 23, 2021 at 10:00 AM, followed by interment in the Churchyard.

Viewing takes place at St. George’s Home for Funerals, Carmichael House, Carmichael, St. George, on Wednesday December 22, 2021 from 3:30 to 5:30 PM and an hour before the commencement of the Service at the Church.

The Organist is kindly asked to attend.

Flowers may be delivered to St. George’s Home for Funerals no later than 8:00 AM on the day of the funeral.
